Emily’s creative journey started at a young age. As a girl, she could draw for hours. Creativity was encouraged a lot by her mother, who is also an artist herself. Emily was always surrounded by beautiful pictures and magnificent paintings at home. The art of her mother, Ellen Voets, inspired Emily.

From the age of 16 Emily started collecting magazines. Every month she received the old magazines from the local hairdresser in Deurne, where she was born and raised. Endlessly she leafed through the female magazines and tore out everything that integrated her. This is how her interest already arises for female subjects. Often she was drawing these perfume advertisements or images accompanying the articles of the Cosmopolitan.

During her study at Sint Lucas, she therefore did an internship at Cosmopolitan. Where she developed a talent for compositions, glamor and visual communication. She later completed art school where she expanded her passion for art and aesthetics and learned to get in touch with deep emotions and capture it on a canvas.

At the age of 26 she came in contact with Robert Euwe. He has inspired her to show her talent for hyper-realistic art to the outside world and to develop her own sophisticated style. Her dream is to continue the path that she chose and to inspire others along the way.

Take a look at the masterpieces she created and get inspired by the innate beauty of the empowered female subjects in her work.
