We have outlined the following terms and conditions as we highly value providing you with a personalized service and understand the significance of your artwork purchase. If you have any inquiries regarding the purchase of an original piece or a print, or if you are uncertain about how the terms and conditions apply to your order, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Ordering
You can purchase Emily van de Wiel’s artwork directly from her atelier, online, or at any of her exhibitions.

Delivery and Shipping
We typically use PostNL for deliveries within the Netherlands and UPS, TNT, or DHL for international shipping. Your print order is generally dispatched within 3 weeks, although it may take up to 2 weeks to reach your address. Please note that international customs charges are the responsibility of the buyer. A commission artwork may take longer as creativity cannot be rushed. We will discuss the delivery date with you during the process. Some masterpieces are ready to ship.

If you notice any damage when receiving your package, you have two options: you can either refuse the shipment as [damaged – return to sender], or you can have the delivery company mark the tracking as [received damaged, subject to further inspection]. In either case, please file a claim immediately. Ensure you keep all boxes and packing materials. When contacting us, provide the tracking number of your box, a description of the damage, and its value. Additionally, take pictures of the damaged package and send them to us, along with the details of your actions.

Additional Surcharge
If you require the artwork within a specific timeframe, please reach out to us to discuss options. An additional priority surcharge may apply.

Downloadable Artworks
Downloadable artworks are intended for personal use only. You may use them as phone backgrounds or print them for personal use in A4 size for framing and home decoration. However, the designs are not to be resold or used for commercial purposes or advertising.

Commissioning Artwork
Upon receiving a commission, you will receive a specification, an estimated delivery timeframe, and a price, which includes the cost of delivery. Please note that all payments for artworks must be made in euros (EUR); therefore, the price for a commission may vary due to fluctuations in exchange rates if the transaction is conducted in another currency. Additional bank charges are the responsibility of the sender of the payment.

Full payment in advance is required for all commissions and is non-refundable. Work on any artwork will not commence until payment is received. By making the payment, you enter into a contract with the artist for the provision of artwork, agreeing to the specification provided by Wendy Buiter and paying the total quoted price on an agreed-upon date. You are also agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Once payment is received, a fee may apply to alter the specifications of your artwork. While Emily van de Wiel will strive to accommodate customer-requested changes, they may not always be feasible once work on a piece has commenced.

Returns and Cancellations – Customized and Commissioned Items
Under your contract with Emily van de Wiel, goods (your artwork) are made specifically to meet your specifications, and therefore, your order cannot be canceled after it has been placed.

In the highly unlikely event that your commission does not match your specifications or you believe there may be issues with the quality of the product, we will make every effort to resolve the situation to your satisfaction as quickly as possible. Please contact us to explain your specific concerns and agree on a course of action.

Returns and Cancellations – Non-Customized and Non-Commissioned Items
If you wish to return any non-commissioned items purchased from Emily van de Wiel, they must be returned within 14 days of receipt for a refund. Items must be in their original condition. You are responsible for ensuring that the item is returned to Emily van de Wiel in its original state and without any damage. Delivery charges are non-refundable. Emily van de Wiel will refund the cost of the item in full; however, please note that if you paid for the item using PayPal, PayPal may charge you for the return of funds, and any such charges are not covered by Emily van de Wiel.

In the unlikely event that there is an issue with the quality of the product or if it is not the product you ordered, we will make every effort to resolve the situation to your satisfaction as quickly as possible. Please contact us to explain your specific concerns and agree on a course of action.

This website does not collect any personal information except that which is entered by those purchasing products. Any information provided for the purchase of a product is solely used for that purpose and is not disclosed to any third party. Credit card details are only retained as required by the processing company to demonstrate approval for the transaction provided by clients.
